What are you doing New Year’s Eve? There’s plenty of events in Whitefish to choose from to ring in the new year. Have fun and be safe.

Rockin’ Rail Jam

Whitefish Mountain Resort’s New Year’s Eve Rockin’ Rail Jam and a torchlight parade is the grand finale of their holiday celebrations. The rail jam competition showcases skiers and snowboarders sliding rail features as many times as possible in a given period of time with no break in the action. It’s a great event for spectators. The Dash for Cash race is open to anyone. This free event will take place between the skiers and snowboarders rail jam sessions at about 5:30 p.m. Run a wacky obstacle course for a chance to win $100.

Torchlight parade and fireworks display

A torchlight parade is at Whitefish Mountain Resort at 6:15 p.m. Watch as skiers and riders make their way down Ed’s Run with torches. As they get to the bottom, the best firework show of the season goes off. A snow bar hosted by Ed and Mully’s will be on site. Live music from Latin jazz Cocinando follows the fireworks at Ed and Mully’s. 20 Grand is at the Bierstube. Tickets are $25 and typically sell out, 862-1993.

Latin jazz orchestra Cocinando is at Ed & Mully’s from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

20 Grand

The Bierstube hosts a New Year’s Eve party starting at 9 p.m. with live music by funk group 20 Grand. Party favors, free appetizer bar, drink specials and free champagne at midnight. Tickets are $25 and typically sells out. 862-1993.

Kayla Adams Band

A New Year’s Eve dinner of crab legs and lobster, and live music by the Kayla Adams Band is at the Boat Club. Dinner is at 5 p.m., music is from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. 863-4040.

New Year’s Eve dinner

New Year’s Eve dinner and live music from Craig Barton is at Grouse Mountain Lodge. The live music starts at 9 p.m. 862-3000.

DJ Poet

Two-time Grammy Award winning artist DJ Poet from the Black Eyed Peas is at Casey’s Bar for New Year’s Eve. 862-8150

Platinum 100 party

Crush Wine Bar hosts the Platinum 100 party. Only 25 tickets are available at the door. The event features a cash oyster and dessert bar by Stillwater Fish House, a free champagne toast at midnight and dance music by DJ Kris Moon and Jay Jeunes. The party will run from 7 p.m. until 1:30 a.m.; party-goers may come and go as they please. Tickets are $33 each and are available at Crush Wine Bar, 124 Central Ave., Whitefish. First Night Flathead

The First Night Flathead community New Year’s Eve gala is an alcohol-free family-oriented entertainment program of art, music and festivity for all ages. Taking place in downtown Kalispell, businesses and community venues will host musical performances with a 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. entertainment program for the entire family. The Copper Mountain Band is at the Great Northern at 9 p.m. 862-2816

Flip Wilsons/Miller Creek

Ring in the New Year at the Craggy Range with local Indie rock favorites the Flip Wilsons at 10 p.m., followed by Miller Creek from Missoula. 862-7550

Rehberg to attend rally for Jesus statue
