Loper, a sophomore from Post Falls High, scored 18 points for the Pride (14-4, 6-1 Colonial Athletic Association) in a 72-66 win over Northeastern on Jan. 22 in Hempstead, N.Y.

Magnuson, a freshman who swam for Lake City High, finished third in the 100-meter freestyle in 53.32 seconds at the 2012 Beach Cup on Jan. 22 in Los Angeles.

Kristine Leonard

Idaho track and field

Leonard, a junior from Lakeland High, finished second in the shot put with a throw of 44 feet, 6.25 inches on Saturday in the Cougar Indoor Invitational in Pullman.

Tugce Canitez

Canitez, a junior from NIC, had 30 points and 19 rebounds as the NAIA fourth-ranked Warriors beat Fresno Pacific 80-68 in a Golden State Athletic Conference game. Canitez also had 24 points and 14 rebounds for the Warriors (20-1, 10-0 GSAC) in a 65-48 win over Point Loma Nazarene in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Thompson, a freshman from Timberlake High, has 81 rebounds for the Pilots (8-15, 1-8 West Coast Conference), who travel to No. 19 Gonzaga on Thursday.

Bauman, a sophomore from Post Falls, moved into eighth place on the school's top 10 performers list with a throw of 50 feet, 9.5 inches in the weight throw during last weekend's team challenge at the Air Force Academy.

Michael Hale

Hale, a junior from NIC, is averaging 9.6 points per game and 3.1 assists for the Roadrunners in 12 starts. Hale had 12 points and three assists on Saturday to lead the Roadrunners (14-7, 6-1 Southland Conference) past Sam Houston State 78-66 in San Antonio.

Idris Lasisi

Whitworth basketball

Lasisi, a junior from NIC, is averaging 16.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per game for the Pirates (16-3, 9-1 Northwest Conference). His scoring average is fourth in the Northwest Conference and he ranks ninth in 3-point percentage (.400) and leads the team in steals with 27.

Turbin, a redshirt sophomore from Coeur d'Alene, went 1 for 3 with an RBI in the Warriors' season opening 7-7 tie against Pomona-Pitzer on Friday at Alumni Field at Claremont, Calif.
