BILLFOLD: Good time, place to lose it

To the good samaritan at St. Vincent de Paul in Coeur d'Alene on Monday, Jan. 23: Thank you; you restored my faith in the human race by your honesty. I left my billfold in the shopping cart as I loaded my purchases into the Jeep, and I drove off, not realizing my billfold was gone until an hour later. What a relief to call the store and be told by Bernie the manager that my billfold was safely locked in the store safe after a gentleman brought it in from the parking lot. I wish I knew your name so I could thank you in person.

I always thought I had bad timing, but on Monday I had excellent timing, to be in that store at exactly the same time as a good samaritan protected me from my own blunder. Priceless! I hope someday when you are in need, there is a good samaritan accompanying your pathway who will help you. Thank you again, whoever you are.
