Uher's 4 goals lift Chiefs

KENT, Wash. - Dominik Uher scored four goals and the Spokane Chiefs defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 5-3 in Western Hockey League action in front of 4,267 at the ShoWare Center on Tuesday night.

Uher scored in the first and second period, and his third goal broke a three-all tie with 1:12 remaining, before his empty-netter with nine seconds remaining sealed the win.

Brenden Kichton also scored for Spokane, which had 19 saves from Eric Williams.

Dylan Walchuk and Corbin Baldwin had two assists apiece for the Chiefs, who outshot Seattle 40-22.

Spokane (28-14-4-3, 63 points) plays at Kamloops at 7 tonight.
