home second place.

At the 135-pound class, Cameron Dominick ousted competition from Corvallis and Mission-Charlo before falling in the finals in an 8-0 decision to Corvallis' Kenny Thomas.

Nevertheless, Arlee head coach Ken Hill was impressed by his performance and is excited about his prospects this weekend down south.

"He's been doing better," Hill said. "There are still some things he's working on, but he'll be right in the mix at divisionals."

Al Plant, at 171 pounds, made it to the championship match as well, thanks to victories over Plains and Hot Springs grapplers before being pinned by Riley Nagel of Corvallis with just 52 seconds remaining in the match.

At 189 pounds, Clayton Trimble continued his surge with a runner-up finish, falling to Ronan's Colby Roberts in the second round, while 215-pounder Cody North wrapped up the run of second-place placements with wins against Ronan and Thompson Falls rivals before losing to yet another Corvallis wrestler.

Leif Rova, at 160, finished third place, thanks to wins over two Hamilton grapplers and one Noxon opponent before defeating Hamilton's Zach Tompkins with a second-round pin, while Nathan Bertollt took fourth place in the 145-pound division.

With the regular season in the rearview mirror, Hill is looking forward to the next step and likes his kids' chances to make some noise in Philipsburg.

"I think we can get many kids through and onto state," Hill said. "They're working hard. The pressure is on now.

"They have to leave it on the mat," Hill added. "They're still tweaking stuff, but the guys are gearing up, they've done their scouting and know their opponents' tendencies."

Wrestling in Philipsburg for the Western B-C Divisional Tournament will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
