Jean L. Hall, 86, joined her Heavenly Father on Jan. 30, 2012. She died of natural causes incident to old age.
She was born Sept. 25, 1925, in Pocatello and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jean was one of five children born to her mother Lilly Bischoff Daniels and father Raymond J. Hedges.
She was preceded in death by both parents and siblings: Zella Bolingbroke, Dick Daniels, Arlo Daniels and Rose Lewis, all of the Pocatello area.
Jean was trained as a nurse's aid during World War II and also worked at Hill Air Force Base when the men were all off to war. She was a stenographer and bookkeeper for many years. She drove a school bus and worked as a night auditor. She was capable and adaptable; wherever she lived she made it warm and homey. Her lifelong pursuit was Genealogy.
She married Loval Hall of McCammon in 1945. They lived in Utah, California, Washington, South Dakota and found their permanent home in Coeur d'Alene in 1958.
She is survived by her son, Darwin Hall (Tami) of Athol; daughter Rhonda Paulson (Jim) of Coeur d'Alene; and sons Mick Hall of Groesbeck, Texas, Lonny Hall (Susan) of San Antonio, Texas, Scott Hall of Groesbeck and Jeff Hall (Wanda) of Coeur d'Alene; 20 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Jean will be remembered for her ready smile and beautiful poetry as well as being a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Coeur d'Alene Stake Center, 2801 N. Fourth St. in Coeur d'Alene for all who would like to attend. Burial will be in McCammon.
