MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake High School Molahiettes held their first annual drill invite last Saturday.
Drill teams from 11 schools performed 24 routines in six categories, including military, kick, pom and dance, said coach Lori Baker.
Because the Molahiettes hosted the competition, they didn't receive trophies, but received the highest score of the day, said Baker.
Moses Lake scored 277 out of 300 with their pom dance routine, she said. They also had the next highest score, earning 275 out of 300 with their military dance routine.
The participating schools were Ephrata, Hanford, Lewis and Clark, Moses Lake, Othello, Pasco, Quincy, South Kitsap, Sunnyside, Walla Walla and West Valley in Yakima.
Last weekend, the Molahiettes competed at West Valley High School in Spokane against 12 schools and took home three first-place trophies, said Baker.
