MOSES LAKE - Five men were arrested following a reported armed robbery at a residence on Fourth Avenue in Moses Lake.

On Monday at about 11 p.m., Moses Lake police were dispatched to a duplex, where residents said several Hispanic suspects had forcibly entered the home armed with knives and at least one firearm, according to Moses Lake Police Capt. Dave Ruffin on Wednesday.

The suspects reportedly took two wallets and a laptop computer from the residence and fled the scene on foot. The men were apprehended shortly after and arrested on charges of robbery in the first degree.

The following individuals were booked into the Grant County Jail: Ismael Ortiz Jr., 20, Moses Lake; Christopher A. Blanco, 26, Ephrata; Alejandro L. Castro, 19, Moses Lake; Johnny Torres Perez, 21, Moses Lake; and Homero Villanueva, 31, Moses Lake.

Officers have recovered some of the property and the firearm used in the crime, Ruffin stated.

The case is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Moses Lake Police Department at 509-764-3887.
