A 47-year-old Kalispell man has pleaded innocent to charges connected to a Jan. 15 incident at a home in Evergreen, where he allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend.

Thursday in Flathead District Court, Patrick Wolf pleaded not guilty to burglary, a felony, and misdemeanor charges of partner or family member assault and criminal destruction of or tampering with a communication device.

When law officers responded to a disturbance at the home, a deputy spoke with the alleged victim, who appeared upset and had a cut on the bridge of her nose and blood on her forehead. She told the deputy that Wolf had come to her home, angry. They had recently ended the relationship and she had changed the locks to keep him out.

She said Wolf kicked in the front door, at which point she locked herself in her bedroom along with her 10-year-old son. Wolf allegedly kicked in the bedroom door and began head-butting her and throwing her around the room. When she attempted to call 911, he broke her phone.

While being treated for her injuries in the emergency room, the woman was diagnosed with a fractured nose and a concussion.

If convicted, Wolf faces between one day and 21 1/2 years in prison and a fine of between $300 and $52,000. His next hearing is currently scheduled for May 9.
