EPHRATA – Grant County Sheriff Tom Jones issued a friendly warning to the public last Friday about a scam that is being perpetrated through emails.
The email, which poses to be from Intuit, tries to glean personal information from victims. It claims that Intuit is working with the Internal Revenue Service.
“According to Intuit,” Jones said, “recipients should delete this email immediately.”
“The public should never disclose personal information over email,” Jones added.
