Cattle producers set Olympia date

MOSES LAKE - The Cattle Producers of Washington monthly general meeting will be held in Olympia on Feb. 8 to coincide with the CPW's legislative day.

The legislative day will occur on Thursday, Feb. 9. Members of the CPW will go individually to talk about specific issues which CPW members would like legislators to support of oppose.

"This puts a face to the cattle producers of Washington State," said Teresa King of the CPW.

On Wednesday evening, prior to the legislative visit, the CPW will kick off with a 5:30 p.m. general meeting. That will be followed by a reception for senators, representatives and agency staff members.

Police responded to a Friday morning report of a student outside Coeur d’Alene High School with what appeared to be a firearm, which turned out to be a water gun.
