Flathead High School grad Brock Osweiler was officially named as a participant in the 2012 NFL Scouting Combine on Tuesday.

The combine, a series of mental and physical tests for prospective pro football players, will be held Feb. 22-28 in Indianapolis, Ind.

Osweiler, who just completed his junior season at Arizona State, announced in early January that he would be forgoing his final year of eligibility for the Sun Devils to enter the NFL draft.

He is one of 19 quarterbacks who will compete at the combine, including other big names such as Heisman winner Robert Griffin III, Stanford's Andrew Luck and Boise State's Kellen Moore.

While at Arizona State, the 6-foot-8 signal caller set all kinds of records. In 2011, his first full season as a starter, he became the first Sun Devil quarterback to throw for more than 4,000 yards, finishing the season with 4,036, while completing 326 passes on 516 attempts for a 63.2 completion percentage, all records. He also threw for 26 touchdowns, the fourth most in school history.

In his final Territorial Cup, against Arizona, Osweiler had a career night, throwing for 487 yards and a touchdown. In his final game as a Sun Devil, against Boise State in the MAACO Las Vegas Bowl, he threw for 395 yards.

In 25 career games at ASU, Osweiler finished with 5,082 passing yards and 33 touchdowns.

Osweiler ranks second, third and fifth on the Flathead all-time list for single season passing.

In 2007, he threw for 2,935 yards and 27 touchdowns. He threw 29 touchdowns and for 2,703 yards in 2008 and in 2006, he had 22 touchdowns and 2,454 yards.

He was first team all-state quarterback three times and was the 2008 Gatorade Player of the Year.
