Carol Ann Bloom, 69, passed away Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene. Carol Ann Derflinger was born Aug. 15, 1942, in Morocco, Ind., to Ralph and Georgia (Roadruck) Derflinger.

She had said the greatest joy of her life was having the opportunity to watch her grandsons, Blaine and Bryce Tee, become young men and to see her daughter Barbara graduate as an RN.
Carol had accumulated a very eclectic circle of family and friends which included people of all ages, races and backgrounds and was based on the motto "everyone deserves a second chance."
Carol had been married and divorced several times, including to Toney Cotner in Morocco, to Grover Wood in Winter Haven, Fla., and to Harold Bloom Sr. in Orofino.
