MOSES LAKE - Moses Lake Police say they so far have no definite suspects in the fatal weekend shooting of a Moses Lake man.

Guadalupe R. Sanchez, 26, was reportedly shot in the head while driving on Highland Drive early Saturday morning and died Sunday after being transported to a Spokane hospital, according to police.

Moses Lake police canvassed the immediate neighborhood and interviewed about 40 people. Although there has been a "fair amount of cooperation," Capt. Dave Ruffin said it is still unknown how many people were involved in the shooting.

Investigators reportedly believe Sanchez had a gang association and was alone in the vehicle, a 1983 Cadillac Coupe, at the time of the shooting.

Detectives are not prepared to release information about the type or caliber of weapon used in Sanchez's death, Ruffin stated.

Police are asking anyone with potential information, regarding the shooting, to contact the police department investigative unit at 509-764-3887.
