Jhung to speak at Upbeat Breakfast

The Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce's next Upbeat Breakfast is scheduled 7 a.m. Tuesday at The Coeur d'Alene Resort.

Bill Jhung, director of Idaho Small Business Development Center at the North Idaho College, will be the speaker.

Jhung will talk about businesses, careers, how to change and factors to consider.

Upbeat Breakfast occurs the second Tuesday of every month. On average, about 150 members attend making it one of the most popular networking events in our community. Trade tables allow members to display their business and speak briefly about it to the group. The program features a different speaker each month, highlighting various topics of interest. With a reservation, the cost is $14 and includes breakfast and coffee.

Magnuson McHugh promotes two, hires trio

Magnuson McHugh & Co recently announced Kelly Wolf's transition from the Cafeteria Plans Department to Pension Plan Administration. Kelly continues to broaden her knowledge of employee benefits to better serve her clients, as she has done since her arrival at the firm in 1983.

Daniell Mitchell has been promoted to health benefits assistant from administrative associate by Magnuson McHugh & Co. Mitchell joined the firm in 2011, and attends North Idaho College.

Magnuson McHugh & Co has hired Cynthia Jackson Beaulaurier as Senior Qualified Retirement Specialist. She comes to the firm with more than 15 years pension experience with National Associates of Spokane, and holds an accounting degree from Washington State University. Beaulaurier resides in Spokane.

Also joining Magnuson McHugh & Co is business development associate, La Donna Beaumont. Beaumont, a Coeur d'Alene native, brings both Financial Services and Small Business experience to the post.

Scott Hoover, CPA, is the latest addition to Magnuson McHugh & Co's Audit Department. Hoover returns to his hometown of Coeur d'Alene from Boise, where he was most recently working in private practice. Hoover received his accounting degree from the University of Idaho.

LA Aluminum tour slated for Feb. 15

Business professionals interested in seeing manufacturing and production operations up close and in real time are welcome to tour LA Aluminum Castings in Hayden Lake on Feb. 15 at 6 p.m.

LA Aluminum Castings is a single source manufacturer for all permanent mold aluminum castings. Sponsored by the Spokane Chapter the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and the Inland Empire Chapter the American Society of Metals, the two-hour tour will take guests through many areas of what LA Aluminum specializes in such as tooling, casting, mold alteration, powder coating, assembly and more.

Spokane Chapter 248's Signature Plant Tours host as many as six manufacturing tours a year, taking folks behind the scenes of local manufacturers in the region.

Trindera hires Haneline, Martinez

Trindera Engineering, an electrical and control systems engineering firm based in Coeur d'Alene, hired Rob Haneline as director of Quality Control and Project Development and Management.

Haneline joins the Trindera team with expertise that has supported many utilities, schools districts, colleges, universities, municipalities, commercial, and industrial customers. He has extensive experience developing staffing plans, work schedules, budgets and timelines, and negotiated contracts to ensure quality and safety while ensuring that internal and external standards are met.

Trindera Engineering also hired Pablo Martinez as an electrical drafter.

Martinez is a recent graduate of ITT Technical Institute, where he graduated with honors and a 3.74 GPA. He received his associate's degree in computer drafting and design. He is still attending ITT Technical Institute in pursuit of his bachelor's in project management and is currently maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
