AARP offersfree tax help
Free tax assistance provided by the AARP is available throughout Kootenai County to those in need through April 14.
Help is available at the Post Falls Senior Center on Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. You must make an appointment by calling 773-9582.
The Lake City Senior Center is open for the service on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Make an appointment by calling 667-4628.
The Rathdrum Senior Center is open on Tuesday and Thursday and appointments can be made by calling 687-2028.
The Athol Community Center is open on Mondays and appointments can be made by calling 683-2407.
The Silver Lake Mall in Coeur d'Alene is open to walk-ins only from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.
Those who are homebound can call 667-4628 or 687-2028 for assistance. You do not need to be an AARP member to seek help.
'Chocolate Affair' is Friday in Cd'A
The Coeur d'Alene Downtown Association's second "The Chocolate Affair" is 5-8 p.m. Friday.
More than 25 sites are participating, the 2nd Annual Chocolate Affair promises to have something for every chocolate lover.
Wrist bands available Friday night only, and will be sold starting at 4:30 p.m. in the Plaza Shops.
