Libby now has a new jewelry store, Helen's Jewelry, LLC, located at 219 E. Ninth St.
Owner Helen M. Clark-Barr has a long history of serving jewelry customers in Libby, and now she's breaking out on her own.
Helen's Jewelry, which opened Tuesday, is sharing the building site with Hava Java, also the former location of Shoestring Video. Customers will enter the jewelry store through the coffee shop.
Clark-Barr, who has been in the jewelry business for 36 years, dating back to 1976.
Helen's Jewelry will offer a vast selection. of rings, watches, pendants, gold chains, and it will offer several kinds of watch-battery installation and watch and jewelry repair, most of which can be completed in about a week.
"We also have a wide variety of elegant jewelry for that special someone in anyone's life," Clark-Barr said.
Assisting Helen in this endeavor will be Lynn Specht, who has nearly 10 years of jewelry experience.
"Libby is just one of the most beautiful places to live," Clark-Barr said.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Helen's Jewelry will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The store is closed on Sunday and Monday.
