EASTON - Crystal Lloyd pumped in 25 point and pulled down 15 rebounds to lead the Columbia Basin Secondary School (CBSS) to 48-31 road win over Easton last night.
Destiny Quarles added 13 points and seven boards in the winning effort.
"The Ladies played great tonight," coach Clint Scrivens said. "They played their hearts out the entire game."
The teams played even ball in the first half of action as the Phoenix led 12-8 at the end of the first quarter and were up 17-16 at intermission.
The Jaguars came out with a purpose in the third quarter kept the game within reach, 27-22 heading into the final eight minutes of action. But CBSS had another thing in mind as the Phoenix went on a 21-9 run in route to the 17-point win.
"A number of ladies stepped up and played great defense down the stretch causing turnovers and getting several rebounds to preserve our lead throughout the entire game," Scriven said. "Destiny picked up seven of her 13 in the last three minutes of the game knocking down a few long jumpers. This was an uplifting win for the ladies on the road."
The victory improves the Phoenix to 2-5 in league play and 5-12 overall.
Jaquese Hardin and Madison Hansen finished with four points and three rebounds each, and Brittney Deines contributed two points and two rebounds to round out the scoring for CBSS.
The Phoenix is back in action tomorrow night, as they take on Moses Lake Christian Academy in the maroon gym at Moses Lake High School at 6 p.m.
The game was moved to accommodate more fans for both teams.
