The teams played even ball in the first half of action as the Phoenix led 12-8 at the end of the first quarter and were up 17-16 at intermission.
The Jaguars came out with a purpose in the third quarter kept the game within reach, 27-22 heading into the final eight minutes of action. But CBSS had another thing in mind as the Phoenix went on a 21-9 run in route to the 17-point win.
"A number of ladies stepped up and played great defense down the stretch causing turnovers and getting several rebounds to preserve our lead throughout the entire game," Scriven said. "Destiny picked up seven of her 13 in the last three minutes of the game knocking down a few long jumpers. This was an uplifting win for the ladies on the road."
