Southern Nevada takes two from Cards

ST. GEORGE, Utah - Alicia Firelein hit three of her four home runs in the second game, and totaled five RBIs in the nightcap as the College of Southern Nevada swept North Idaho College 11-6 and 8-5 in Scenic West Athletic Conference softball Friday at the Canyons Complex.
Southern Nevada (8-10, 3-3 SWAC) hit seven homers in the two games. NIC (0-6, 2-13) hit four of its five homers in the second game.
Kasara Wise, Brianna Bishop, Shelby Carter and Amber Meyers all homered for the Cardinals.
Nicole Atkinson hit a grand slam in the opener for NIC.
The teams are scheduled to play another doubleheader today in St. George.
