Pest board members needed by county

EPHRATA - Residents are invited to apply to serve on the five-person Grant County Horticultural Pest and Disease Control Board.
The current five members are up for re-appointment and county commissioners wanted to see if new citizens of the county were interested in serving, explained Barbara Vasquez, of the county commissioners' office.
Those interested must be county residents, own land in the county and be involved in the primary and commercial production of a horticultural product or product.
Appointed members serve two-year terms and are not paid a salary.
Letters of interest can be sent to: Grant County Commissioners Office, Grant County Courthouse, PO Box 37, Ephrata, 98823.

Moses Lake SD business manager candidate forum tonight
MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake School District patrons are being invited to talk to – and give their opinions about – finalists for the job of MLSD business manager tonight at 4 p.m. at the district’s transportation office, 940 E. Yonezawa Blvd. Candidates will introduce themselves and answer questions submitted by district patrons; people are encouraged to submit questions via QR code that will be available at the meeting. People will be asked to submit their impressions of the candidates after each person finishes.
