Lakeland, Kellogg school levy elections info

This just in from the Kootenai County Clerk's office:

Kootenai County Elections staff began mailing out absentee ballots Friday for the March 13 school district elections.

The March 13 elections affect only voters in two school districts: Lakeland Joint #272 and Kellogg Joint #391. Elections staff sent out 108 absentee ballots on the first day.

Voters wishing to request an absentee ballot can obtain one on the County's website: Absentee ballott application.

In-person absentee voting will be available at the County Elections office, 1808 Third Ave., Coeur d'Alene, from Feb. 27 through March 9. The elections department's office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

On election day, March 13, some precincts will be consolidated.

For the Kellogg Joint School District, voting for precincts 62 & 68 will be at the Canyon School Gym in Cataldo.

Lakeland Joint School District will use the following polling sites:

Precincts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 18 will be in their usual polling places;

Precincts 7, 8 & 23 will vote at Hauser Fire Station Precincts 9 and 11 will vote at Betty Kiefer Elementary in Rathdrum;

Precincts 10 and 12 will vote at John Brown Elementary in Rathdrum;

Precincts 13, 14 and 15 will vote at Hayden Lake Friends Church in Hayden.
