Park talk
The Glacier National Park Fund will host a talk by Glacier National Park superintendent Chas Cartwright at Grouse Mountain Lodge on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 7 p.m. Cartwright plans to have an informal, open conversation with the audience about current issues facing the Park. Cartwright began his career with the National Park Service in 1987. Prior to joining the NPS, he worked for the Bureau of Land Management as an archeologist and for the United States Forest Service as a fire lookout, river ranger and firefighter. auditions
The Columbia Mountain Theatre Company, a newly established non-profit community theater group, will hold additional auditions for its first production at Glacier Discover Square on Thursday, Feb. 23, from 7-9 p.m. Auditions are open to adults with or without acting experience. Volunteer positions are available for production work. The season will open with two one-act plays: "Sham: A Social Satire," by Frank G. Tompkins, and "Wurzel-Flummery," a political satire by A. A. Milne. Performances will be at Glacier Discover Square Center on March 9, 10, 16 and 17 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 available at the door. Democrat Zac Perry to talk
The Flathead County Democratic Party will meet in the Back Room at the Nite Owl on Tuesday, Feb. 21, beginning at 6 p.m. Zac Perry, Democratic candidate for House District 3, will talk about "Bringing reason and responsibility back to the legislature."
