Hall Mt.  Volunteer Fire Association Inc., received a $20,000 check from TransCanada in January to go toward finishing the Hall Mt. No. 3 station.

Robin Young, secretary and treasurer of the association wrote the grant that will help them finish this station which was started in 2007.

Hall Mt. No. 3 sits on Moyie River Road. Construction has been ongoing for the last four years, according to Young. The station houses the fire trucks and keeps them out of the weather.

Young said they did not have the funds to finish the second floor until now.

The second floor will have training space, multi-agency command center and also have an office for chief Brad Lowther. There are also plans to add a small kitchen and bathroom.
