PREP BOYS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Brown leads Knights past Warriors

HARRISON FLATS - Jordan Brown scored 10 of his 18 points in the first quarter, and dominated under the basket at both ends as the Lakeside Knights beat the Kootenai Warriors 64-45 in the North Star League and regular-season finale for both teams Thursday night.
"There's not much getting around him," interim Kootenai coach Doug Napierala said of Brown, a 6-foot-4 junior.
Lakeside (13-7, 7-1) plays Wallace next week for the 1A Division I District 1 championship. The winner advances to a state play-in game Feb. 25 against the third-place team from District 2.
Marshall Willms led Kootenai (6-12, 4-4) with 11 points. Jake Pfeiffer had nine points and eight rebounds, Graydon Myhre 10 points and seven rebounds, and Brandon Carman eight points and five assists.
Kootenai plays in the 1A Division II District 1 championship game Feb. 25 at 1 p.m. at home against the winner of next Thursday's Mullan-Clark Fork game. The district champion advances to state.
