A 28-year-old Kalispell man is dead following a rollover accident in Somers early Saturday morning.
Timothy Attard was in the passenger seat of a 2005 GMC Envoy driven by a 32-year-old Kalispell woman when it rolled near the 102 mile marker on U.S. 93.
According to a report from the Montana Highway Patrol, the vehicle was northbound starting into a right-hand curve when it drifted through the center turn lane and into the southbound lane before correcting back into the northbound lane.
The driver then overcorrected to the left and the vehicle traveled back across the center turn lane and the southbound lane, going airborne over the shoulder. It landed just before striking an embankment, flipping and landing on the passenger side.
The vehicle continued to spin and flip, eventually coming to rest just off the center shoulder of the southbound lane.
Alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
