KENT, Wash. - Mac Engel had 18 saves and the Spokane Chiefs posted their first shutout of the season, snapping a season-high four-game losing streak and beating the Seattle Thunderbirds 3-0 in Western Hockey League action Sunday night at the ShoWare Center.

Post Falls native Tanner Mort assisted on Dominik Uher's team-leading 25th goal of the season midway through the first period for Spokane.

Collin Valcourt tipped in a Corbin Baldwin shot in the second period, and Liam Stewart scored on a partial breakaway late in the third period.

The Chiefs outshot the T-Birds 34-18, including 17-4 in the first period.
