NEW SECTION 3.02.065 TO THE OTHELLO CITY CODE; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE

In accordance with RCW 35A.12.160, the following is a summary of Othello Ordinance No. 1357, passed by the Othello City Council and approved by Mayor Tim Wilson on the 13th day of February, 2012. The full text may be mailed, free of charge, to any person requesting a copy.

SUMMARY

This ordinance provides that those providing cable television services within the city will receive a credit toward the utility tax imposed pursuant to OMC 3.02.050 in the amount of the cable television franchise fee paid to the city. With the exception that the credit shall not exceed the dollar amount of the utility tax due on the same revenue by the cable television service provider.
