A 28-year-old Columbia Falls man died Saturday, Feb. 18, in a one-vehicle rollover accident on U.S. 93 in Somers.
Timothy Attard was in the passenger seat of a 2005 GMC Envoy driven by a 32-year-old Kalispell woman when the vehicle left the road around mile marker 102. Attard suffered head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the vehicle was northbound and entering a right-hand curve when it drifted across the center turn lane.
The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to become airborne as it went off the shoulder on the southbound lane.
Alcohol and speed are considered factors in the crash.
