SOAP LAKE - We realize these are very difficult financial times in our communities. Your continued willingness to support school levies in challenging times is inspiring and motivational to all of us who work in your public schools. We will do our best to return your affirming votes with our renewed dedication to this important work.
As a district, we are committed to continuing to examine our ongoing operations for efficiencies while providing our students the best educational opportunities possible. I personally want to say, "Thank you" to the voters of the Soap Lake community for passing the school levy! I urged you to support a school district that has been thriving on extra effort, rather than extra dollars. I encouraged you to continue supporting basic education and counselors, librarians, art, music, physical education and other excellent programs critical to a well-rounded student life and you responded by pass our levy request.
Our students are very fortunate to have the opportunity to be educated in such a supportive community. Your reaffirmation that Soap Lake wants its children to have high-quality experiences so they can thrive in the real world stands loud and clear. Soap Lake continues to demonstrate that it believes that schools are the pillar of our community and when professionals or families are considering relocation, they often seek out opportunities for their children to excel as well. Your "yes" vote ensured a safe, healthy and enriching environment for the future of all Soap Lake students.
