Loggers vs. Badgers
Feb. 6
Loggers finished the first quarter with a 2-point lead and finished with 9 points to Bonners Ferry’s 7.
In the second quarter the Ladies stepped it up, gaining an additional 11 points, and ending the first half with an 8-point lead.
The Badgers gained minimal points in the second half.
The third quarter ended with an 11-point spread in the Loggers favor.
The Ladies were impressive in the fourth, adding 13 points to the final score — 43-24.
“This was one of our best games of the year against a team that beat us by 27 in the first game of the year,” Loggers Coach Jon England said.
Loggers Taylor Quinn, 14 points; Devon Gallagher, 8 points and four steals; Kaitlyn Gilder had four assists, and Hailey Craig, 8 points.
Loggers vs. Lions
Feb. 7
The Lady Loggers faced the Eureka Lady Lions in a close match, ending Loggers 33 and Lions 25.
All four quarters were close with just a 3 to 4 point between each team throughout the game.
However, the Loggers led each quarter and finished with a final score of 33-25.
“This was a tough, physical game,” England said. “We had a lot of turnovers, but we also turned them over a lot — we had 19 steals.”
Loggers Kaitlyn Gilder, 8 points and six rebounds; Dalyn Germany, 7 points and five rebounds, and Kelsey Klin had five steals.
Loggers vs. Pirates
Feb. 11
Loggers started strong in the first half, leading in the first quarter with 18 and 26 points to finish against the Polson Lady Pirates.
“We jumped out, to a good lead thanks to Hailey Craig’s hot shooting,” England said. “We then held them off at the end of the game.”
Craig shot 14 points in the Loggers game against the Pirates.
The Ladies continued to lead in the third and fourth quarters, 34-27 and 38-35.
“The defense was tough in the fourth quarter,” England said. “Kaitlyn Gilder had two clutch, free throws with 12 seconds to go.”
Loggers won over their opponents, 38-35, securing their third consecutive win and the fourth in the last five games.
Lady Loggers JV team is currently toting a record of 8-8.
