I guess I’ll weigh in on the issue as it is a big local issue and, in some cases, a very big local issue.

Don’t Be a Flake:

It Drains to the Lake

Is this the city of the tree

Or the city of the poop and pee?

People not taking care of their doggies

Send it down to the lake and toward the sea:

A fecal matter for the fish and kids.

Doggy doo not done when doggy did;

Doggy don’t know what doggy done-

Doggy poo in the run-off runs…

To the beautiful lake in the beautiful sun.

Stinking little gifts for the children’s fun;

Though it makes them itch and makes them twitch

It still isn’t fair to say, “Son of a bitch!”

Because dog is loyal and just doesn’t know

How in heaven’s name the waters flow,

Like the prophet says, “down tho the sea…”

And poop lies on the sidewalk for you and for me.

Unless for the intervention of heavenly hand-

Which, in this world, is the hand of man.

The epithet which comes to mind:

“Son of a human!”(of the ignorant kind).

The dog himself has committed no crime

And so, like all dogs, to heaven he will go

While his master will roast down below.
