HART: Just say no, voters

We pay our legislators $16,116 for three-month’s efforts, plus living expenses of $112 a day, to conduct the serious work of running the state of Idaho. And what do they deliberate about? A special license plate as a source of income for Bill Sali, and an Idaho hound-dog. Meanwhile they nix ethics and support discrimination.

However, the most self-serving, egregious piece of legislation was recently introduced by Rep. Phil Hart to declare silver and gold coins “legal tender” and free from any taxation. Hart is already a tax cheat and a U.S. Supreme Court loser and a tree thief; now he is promoting his business ventures using the Idaho government. Buyer beware!

Sen. John McGee of Canyon County recently resigned and all he’s done is drive drunk, have an accident and steal a vehicle. Oh and maybe a little sexual harassment.

Do you voters of former District 3 realize (if you pay Idaho income taxes) that you are paying Hart’s salary out of your pocket and he contributes nothing to our state or our country? Please don’t elect him again; he is an embarrassment to law-abiding citizens and he is only promoting and trying to protect himself.
