Saint Mary's clinches outright WCC title

Rob Jones had 14 points and 14 rebounds, Clint Steindl added 16 points and Saint Mary's beat San Francisco 67-60 on Saturday night at San Francisco to clinch the Gaels' first outright conference title in 23 years.
Matthew Dellavedova had 14 points while Brad Waldow recorded his third double-double this season with 10 points and 12 rebounds to help the Gaels end Gonzaga's 11-year hold on the West Coast Conference regular-season title. The two schools shared the championship in 2011.
BYU 76, Portland 66: At Provo, Utah, Brandon Davies scored 25 points and Brock Zylstra had 20 points and nine rebounds to lead BYU past Portland.
Charles Abouo added 16 points and eight rebounds for the Cougars (24-7, 12-4 West Coast), who played without leading scorer Noah Hartsock (knee). BYU clinched the No. 3 seed in next week's WCC tournament and receives a bye to the quarterfinals.
Ryan Nicholas had 19 points and 14 rebounds and Tanner Riley 16 points for the Pilots (6-23, 3-13), who will be the eighth seed. Portland plays No. 9 seed Santa Clara in Wednesday's opening-round contest.
Loyola Marymount 68, Santa Clara 65: At Los Angeles, Anthony Ireland had 17 points, six assists and five steals as Loyola Marymount closed out the regular season with a victory over Santa Clara (8-21, 0-16).
The Lions (19-11, 11-5 West Coast) will carry the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament and a bye into the quarterfinals on Friday. They'll face the winner of Thursday's first-round game between No. 6 San Diego and No. 7 Pepperdine.

No. 1 Kentucky 83, Vanderbilt 74: At Lexington, Ky., freshman Anthony Davis scored a career-high 28 points on 10-of-11 shooting, and Kentucky (28-1, 14-0) beat Vanderbilt (20-9, 9-5) to win the Southeastern Conference regular season title for the 45th time.
No. 2 Syracuse 71, Connecticut 69: At Storrs, Conn., Fab Melo's follow-up dunk with 31 seconds left lifted Syracuse (29-1, 16-1) to a win over Connecticut (17-11, 7-9) and clinched the Big East regular season title for the Orange.
No. 4 Kansas 87, No. 3 Missouri 86, OT: At Lawrence, Kan., Thomas Robinson kept the game going with a three-point play in the closing seconds of regulation, and Tyshawn Taylor's two free throws with 8.3 seconds left in overtime gave the Jayhawks (24-5, 14-2 Big 12) a win over the Tigers (25-4, 12-4).
No. 5 Duke 70, Virginia Tech 65, OT: At Durham, N.C., Austin Rivers scored 23 points, Seth Curry added 19 and Duke (25-4, 12-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) beat the Hokies (15-14, 4-10).
No. 6 Michigan State 62, Nebraska 34: At East Lansing, Mich., Draymond Green had 20 points and 10 rebounds to help Michigan State (24-5, 13-3 Big Ten) beat Nebraska (12-15, 4-11) for its seventh straight victory.
No. 7 North Carolina 54, No. 25 Virginia 51: At Charlottesville, Va., Tyler Zeller scored 20 points, including a critical dunk with 13.3 seconds left and the shot clock winding down, and North Carolina (25-4, 12-2) beat Virginia (21-7, 8-6 ACC).
No. 9 Georgetown 67, Villanova 46: At Washington, freshman Otto Porter had 15 points and six rebounds in his second start of the season, Jason Clark had 15 points and six rebounds, and Georgetown (21-6, 11-5 Big East) took a big lead early and never trailed in a win over Villanova (11-17, 4-12).
Purdue 75, No. 11 Michigan 61: At Ann Arbor, Mich., Terone Johnson scored a career-high 22 points and Robbie Hummel added 17 to help Purdue (19-10, 9-7 Big Ten) hand the Wolverines (21-8, 11-5) their first home loss of the season.
Georgia 76, No. 12 Florida 62: At Athens, Ga., freshman Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 18 points, Gerald Robinson added 15 and Georgia (13-15, 4-10 SEC) snapped Florida's (22-7, 10-4) three-game winning streak.
No. 13 Baylor 70, Oklahoma 60: At Waco, Texas, Pierre Jackson scored 18 points, including the tiebreaking 3-pointer that started Baylor's game-deciding spurt, and the Bears (24-5, 11-5 Big 12) beat Oklahoma (14-14, 4-12).
No. 14 Murray State 69, Tennessee Tech 64: At Cookeville, Tenn., Isaiah Canaan scored 18 points and Murray State (28-1, 15-1 Ohio Valley Conference) beat Tennessee Tech (18-12, 9-7) to finish the season undefeated on the road for the first time in school history.
TCU 83, No. 18 New Mexico 64: At Fort Worth, Texas, Amric Fields scored eight consecutive points for TCU in a 48-second span in their tiebreaking run and the Horned Frogs (17-11, 7-5) upset another ranked team at home, beating Mountain West leader New Mexico (22-6, 8-4).
The Horned Frogs have won eight consecutive home games, the last two over Top 25 teams.
In their last home game 11 days earlier, the Frogs beat then-No. 11 UNLV 102-97 in overtime.
No. 19 Wichita State 81, Drake 58: At Wichita, Kan., Ben Smith scored 18 points to lead a balanced offense and help Wichita State (26-4, 16-2 Missouri Valley Conference) beat Drake (16-14, 9-9).
St. John's 61, No. 20 Notre Dame 58: At New York, Moe Harkless had 22 points and nine rebounds to lead St. John's (13-16, 6-10) past Notre Dame (20-9, 12-4 Big East), the Red Storm's first win over a ranked team in 11 games this season.
No. 21 UNLV 68, Air Force 58: At Las Vegas, Chace Stanback scored 21 points to lead UNLV (24-6, 8-4 Mountain West Conference) to a victory over Air Force (13-13, 3-9) and passed Runnin' Rebels great Reggie Theus on the school's all-time scoring list.
Saint Joseph's 82, No. 22 Temple 72: At Philadelphia, Langston Galloway scored 22 points while Carl Jones and Ronald Roberts each added 18 to lead Saint Joseph's (19-11, 9-6 Atlantic 10) past the Owls (22-6, 11-3).
No. 24 San Diego State 74, Colorado State 66: At San Diego, Jamaal Franklin matched his career high with 31 points and added a career-high 16 rebounds for San Diego State (22-6, 8-4), which beat Colorado State (17-10, 6-6) to pull into a tie for first place in the Mountain West Conference with New Mexico and UNLV.

Arizona 65, UCLA 63: At Tucson, Ariz., Kyle Fogg hit a big 3-pointer and scored 16 of his 20 points in the second half of his final home game, fellow senior Jesse Perry added 16 points and Arizona (21-9, 12-5 Pac-12) held on for a win over UCLA (16-13, 9-7).
Arizona State 56, Southern California 52: At Tempe, Ariz., Chris Colvin completed a three-point play with 19.4 seconds to play, and Arizona State (9-20, 5-12) escaped with a victory over Southern California (6-23, 1-15) in a matchup of two of the bottom three teams in the Pac-12.
Utah 58, Stanford 57: At Salt Lake City, Chris Hines scored 19 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer with 27 seconds left, and Utah (6-22, 3-13 Pac-12) defeated Stanford (19-10, 9-8).
Nevada 79, Fresno State 76, 3OT: At Fresno, Calif., Olek Czyz scored 25 points and Dario Hunt added 20 points and 15 rebounds as Nevada outlasted Fresno State (13-17, 3-9).
Czyz's putback with 55.3 seconds remaining in the third overtime and Deonte Burton's free throws with 21.4 seconds left helped Nevada (23-5, 11-1 Western Athletic) clinch a share of the conference regular-season title.
Louisiana Tech 84, Hawaii 67: At Ruston, La., Trevor Gaskins scored 22 points and Brandon Gibson added 16 for Louisiana Tech (15-14, 5-7 Western Athletic Conference) in a win over Hawaii (15-13, 6-6).
New Mexico State 79, San Jose State 68: At Las Cruces, N.M., Hamidu Rahman had 22 points and nine rebounds to lead New Mexico State (22-8, 9-3 WAC) past the Spartans (9-19, 1-11).
