Chiefs travel team takes second at state

KENMORE - The Moses Lake High School Division 1 varsity traveling team finished runner up at the state bowling tournament at Kenmore Lanes Feb. 18 and 19.
The team of Billy Shestock, Anthony Wood, Kylie Harper, Joe O'Brien and Ricky Garza overcame a seventh place start after the first day of competition and worked hard through the Baker rounds to take second.
Moses Lake also took a five-man team to compete in Division 2.
Those team members were Brianna Harper, Marcella Wood, Jacob Benavidez, Austin Ozlins and Austin Scheinder. Wood and Harper (for the second time) were named to All Star Team.

Boys and Girls Club logo allegedly used in Moses Lake scam
MOSES LAKE — Boys and Girls Clubs of the Columbia Basin officials are warning people that scammers apparently are using the club’s logo and claiming to be affiliated with the organization. The scammers allegedly were soliciting money door to door along Third Avenue early Tuesday afternoon.
