NFL at Winter Classic

The 27th annual Winter Classic fundraiser will take place on Thursday through Sunday, March 1-4, with about 15 NFL and University of Montana football players.
Since 1984, the event has raised money to help Northwest Montana families pay for non-medical expenses when they need to travel outside Montana for pediatric medical care. Former Miami Dolphin and University of Montana Grizzly football player Doug Betters founded the event. The organization provides about $50,000 in assistance each year.
There will be a poker run in downtown Whitefish on Thursday; a meet and greet for kids on Big Mountain and Play 60 Challenge at Whitefish High School on Friday; a snow picnic on Big Mountain and gala auction and dinner at The Lodge At Whitefish Lake on Saturday; and a champagne brunch at the Whitefish Lake Restaurant on Sunday.
