Cards sweep Columbia Basin

COEUR d'ALENE - Antoine Hosley led North Idaho College with 19 points and three steals and Keon Lewis chipped in with 15 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals in the Cardinals' nonleague 62-42 win over Columbia Basin College on Monday night at Christianson Gymnasium.
Edrico McGregor added eight points, hitting all four of his free throws, for NIC.
"This was our last non-conference game - now we're ready for our conference schedule to get under way," Cardinal coach Jared Phay said.
NIC (14-1) hosts Snow College on Thursday night.

COEUR d'ALENE - Angela Woods and Tori Davenport scored 22 and 13 points, respectively, and the Cardinals handed Columbia Basin College its first loss on the season.
"The game was an up-and-downer," North Idaho coach Chris Carlson said. "It was all over the map, but midway through the second half we got it going and turned it around."
Davenport, the former Post Falls High standout, added four rebounds and five steals, with nine of her points coming in the first half. "She came off the bench and was awesome for us - she gave us a big boost," Carlson said.
Korina Baker finished with 11 points for the Cards (11-2), who host Snow College on Thursday in the first Scenic West Athletic Conference game for both teams this season.
"She took over in the second half when we need it most," Carlson said.
