Blue Water Technologies taps Brown as new leader

Arthur Brown, former president and CEO of Hecla Mining Company, has been appointed chief executive officer and chairman of the board of Blue Water Technologies.

"It will be quite a challenge to move Blue Water forward at this critical time in its history, but I believe we can get the company to a profitable position soon given its good technological processes and the urgent need to clean up wastewater in all areas of domestic, agricultural, and industrial use," Brown said.

Brown joined Hecla in 1967 as a mining engineer and held various positions until appointed to the CEO post in 1987. He retired in 2006.

He has been involved in the startup of three companies and has also served on the board of several New York Stock Exchange listed companies.

Blue Water Technologies has more than 300 installations around the world. Its focus is the wastewater marketplace for primary treatment, filtration, and nutrient removal in both municipal and industrial settings.
