Red-hot Bruins douse Flames

Nathan Horton and Patrice Bergeron each had two goals and an assist, Tuukka Rask earned his third shutout in four starts and the rampaging Boston Bruins cruised to a 9-0 blowout of the visiting Calgary Flames on Thursday night.

The win was the ninth in 10 games for the defending Stanley Cup champions, who have outscored the opposition 49-13 during that span, with Rask and Tim Thomas combining for four shutouts.

The Bruins won their previous home game 8-0 over Florida.

Rask, who stopped 25 shots for the 11th shutout of his career, has allowed one goal in his last four starts.

Flyers 5, Blackhawks 4: James van Riemsdyk's second goal on the power play with 32.8 seconds remaining lifted Philadelphia past visiting Chicago.

Rangers 3, Panthers 2, OT: Marian Gaborik scored 3:29 into overtime for New York, which outlasted visiting Florida and moved to the top of the NHL standings.

Maple Leafs 4, Jets 0: Jonas Gustavsson stopped all 24 shots he faced, leading host Toronto past Winnipeg.

Kings 1, Coyotes 0, OT: Drew Doughty scored in overtime and host Los Angeles beat Phoenix.

Senators 4, Lightning 1: Daniel Alfredsson had a goal and two assists, and host Ottawa beat Tampa Bay.

Stars 4, Predators 1: Mike Ribeiro scored two goals in the first period and Dallas won at Nashville.

Blues 4, Oilers 3: Carlo Colaiacovo had three assists and St. Louis beat visiting Edmonton.

Sharks 2, Blue Jackets 1: Joe Thornton scored the tiebreaking goal in the second, lifting San Jose past visiting Columbus.
