St. John's HR Coordinator achieves certification

Erin Leighty, Human Resources Coordinator at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital (SJLH) is now a Professional in Human Resources (PHR).
This certification is a career-long commitment; demonstrates core HR knowledge, principles, and dedication to staying current in the field; and is achieved through a combination of education, experience, and a final exam. Leighty travelled to Spokane, Wash., for her exam on Dec. 3.
“I feel that becoming PHR certified shows my dedication to Human Resources, and my commitment to keeping abreast of changes in the field,” Leighty said.
“Achieving this certification has been a career goal of mine, and I am excited to have accomplished it.”
Judy Marshall, SPHR and Human Resources Manager at St. John’s is thrilled with Leighty’s accomplishment.
“I am extremely proud of Erin for her recent accomplishment – it’s just one more way Erin stays current in an ever-changing workplace.” Marshall said.
Leighty has been employed at SJLH for more than 4 years, and has been in the Human Resources field for more than 8 years.
