CHARLO - The Charlo Vikings used a 23-point fourth quarter

outburst to rally by the visiting Superior Bobcats 49-48 on Friday,

January 6.

Dillon Delaney account for 11 of those 23 points, scoring 18

overall, as the Vikings trailed 37-26 entering the fourth, but

nearly doubled their point output in the final stanza.

CHARLO - The Charlo Vikings used a 23-point fourth quarter outburst to rally by the visiting Superior Bobcats 49-48 on Friday, January 6.

Dillon Delaney account for 11 of those 23 points, scoring 18 overall, as the Vikings trailed 37-26 entering the fourth, but nearly doubled their point output in the final stanza.

Tra Ludeman hit four clutch free throws in the final minute, the first two to give Charlo the lead and the final two to make it a two-possession game, and finished with 11 points overall. Stephen Delaney scored seven points, Kolten Andrews six, Webb O'Neill five and Tyler Delaney two for the Vikings.

Charlo opened the game by scoring seven of the first 10 points, but Superior ended the period on a 16-0 run to take a big 19-7 lead after one.

The Vikings punched back with a 9-2 run to start the second, but again, the Bobcats responded, ending the quarter on their own 5-0 spurt to take a 10-point lead into halftime.

True to form all game, Charlo opened the third with a big 10-2 run to get within two, but Superior scored the third's final nine points to take an 11-point lead into the fourth.

The Vikings' final charge wouldn't be denied, as they chipped away throughout the period, tying the game on Dillon Delaney's three-pointer with 55 seconds left. After a Stephen Delaney steal, Ludeman hit his first pair of free throws.

With 11 seconds left, the defense stood tall, forcing an airball that gave Charlo possession. Ludeman then hit his second set of free throws during a high-pressure 1-and-1 situation to give the Vikings a two-score lead.

The Bobcats came down and hit a three with four seconds left, but with no timeouts, couldn't make Charlo inbound the ball as the clock expired.

Charlo's record is 6-1.
