EPHRATA - Minority and women farm producers are invited to apply for farm loans offered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency (FSA).

The loans are offered to all qualified applicants, but a portion is set aside for minorities and women to ensure they receive funds, according to Judy Olson, the state FSA's executive director.

The money can be used to buy farms, livestock and equipment, operate a farm, build or repair farm service buildings, pay for soil and water conservation practices and sometimes refinance debt.

For more information, contact Libby Anderson at (509) 754-2463, ext. 2. The program is offered in Grant County and Adams County.
