Josh Bray turned in a monster night with 27 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals as the Stillwater Christian Cougars avenged an earlier loss to the Eureka Lions with a 61-55 victory on Tuesday night.

Eureka's Ryan Holder also put out a huge effort with 21 points.

Eureka defeated Stillwater 61-46 on Dec. 10 in Eureka.

"That was pretty fun. Good team win. The kids played as a team, passed the ball as a team, they hustled from buzzer to buzzer and they did a much better job of rebounding and boxing out than we did in Eureka," said Stillwater coach Ted Clark.

Josh Topp added 13 points and seven rebounds to the Stillwater effort.

Eureka took an early lead in this one. It was up 16-10 after the first quarter. Ryan Holder had 10 of his points, including two 3-pointers, in that period.

But Bray came to life with 13 second quarter points and the Cougars bounced back to take a 32-26 halftime lead. They led 48-37 after three quarters.

Other leaders for Eureka were Bryton Guckenberg with 18 points and Tanner Peterson with 10.

The Cougars (8-1, 3-0) play host at 6:30 p.m. Thursday to Glacier JV.
