QUINCY - Quincy police arrested three 15-year-old males believed responsible for multiple burglaries within the city limits.

The juveniles reportedly confessed to 10 of the twelve burglaries committed within the city in the past two months, according to Quincy Police Sgt. Paul Snyder on Monday.

One other suspect, also under the age of 16, is currently being questioned in relation to the burglaries, Snyder added.

The police confiscated more than 100 stolen items last week, Snyder stated, including seven gaming consoles, 50 video games, an air-soft gun, power tools, five cellphones, two iPods, three digital cameras, a laptop and two DVD players.

The juveniles allegedly committed the burglaries by first knocking on the front door of a residence and, if nobody responded, breaking windows or throwing rocks through sliding glass doors to gain entry to the rear of the residences, Snyder said.

They would then allegedly take what they could fit into multiple backpacks, which they would either stash nearby for later retrieval or take with them to their homes.

"The juveniles would then take their stolen goods to a nearby apartment where they received cash for the items, which were later sold throughout the city," Snyder stated.

Police are still working to recover further stolen property and are asking anyone who may have additional information to call 509-787-4718 or send a message to crimetips@quincypd.org.
