SPOKANE - Mitch Holmberg had a goal and two assists to lead the Spokane Chiefs past the Everett Silvertips 6-1 in a Western Hockey League game Wednesday in front of 3,754 at the Spokane Arena.

Spokane, winners of four straight, opened the scoring on Holmberg's 17th goal of the season. Mike Aviani and Blake Gal also scored for Spokane to take a 3-1 lead after the first period.

Darren Kramer scored on a breakaway early in the second period and Liam Stewart scored his fifth goal of the year to give Spokane a 5-1 lead.
