POLSON — Phase 1: The new bridge is mostly complete and open for traffic. The site is still under construction and a 10 m.p.h. speed limit is in effect. Motorists are asked to use caution driving across the bridge as the loose gravel is not conducive to high speed travel. Removal of the bypass bridge is underway with completion by Dec. 31, weather permitting.

Prime contractor, L.S. Jensen of Missoula, completed their final demobilization Wednesday, Jan. 4 and plan to return this spring to finish up remnant elements of the first two phases in the spring. The phase 2a contract has not yet been awarded. This largest portion consists of the further rebuilding of the upper portions of Skyline Drive. Completion of the bike path on 1st St. E. will continue next spring.

Phase 2a: New Mission View Drive. The main water line installation is underway with homeowner connections to be completed next spring along with the actual connection to Skyline Drive. This concludes weekly updates for the year.
