June McCarthy Cosner, 91

June McCarthy Cosner passed away on Jan. 11, 2012, at the Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell. She was 91 years old.

June was born to Ralph and Irene McCarthy on Jan. 3, 1921, in Bellevue, Ky.

She attended Cold Spring High School, Eastern Kentucky University and Miami University of Ohio, where she received a master’s degree. She was married to the late Lewis Cosner in June of 1947.

June was an elementary school teacher, a home economics teacher and a school psychologist in Hamilton, Ohio. After retiring, she moved to Montana where she enjoyed walking, playing bridge and playing accordion and piano. She also loved flower arranging.

Her sweet and loving ways were appreciated by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Special thanks go to the entire staff of the Bratsberg wing of the Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell.  Their special love and care over the past three and a half years brought great comfort to June and her family.

June is survived by her son, Mark Cosner, son, Kerry Cosner, and daughter, Michele Cosner, all of Kalispell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Cosner of Hamilton, Ohio; and her daughter, Neill Irene Meckley of Voorhees, N.J.

No funeral services are planned at the request of the deceased.
