PRIEST RIVER - Brian Cronnelly went 4-for-5 from 3-point range in the second quarter to lift the Tigers past the Spartans to an Intermountain League win over Priest River.

Cronnelly, a senior, scored 14 points and Trevor Masterson added a game-high 16 for Timberlake (9-4, 2-1 IML).

Keegan Scott chipped in 12 points for the Tigers, who also won the annual Battle of the Buck spirit competition.

Both schools helped to raise $3,894.91 for the Clark family after their son, Spartan Bobby Clark, suffered a major head injury during the two schools' football game last fall.

"With a game like this there are so many distractions, but I thought our focus stayed on basketball and we stayed disciplined," said Timberlake coach Tony Hanna. "Brian (Cronnelly) has come out the last two games and played well. He's a senior, a leader, and it's nice to see him play well."

Cameron Riley scored 15 points for Priest River (5-6, 1-1 IML), which went 10 for 25 from the foul line.

"I thought our guys played well, we just weren't able to shoot the ball tonight," Priest River coach Ryan Bodecker said. "Give Timberlake the credit for their defense."
