The U.S. Postal Service has released a new international stamp that features a scene of Glacier National Park's Logan Pass.

Featuring glacier lilies blooming among drifts of snow, the stamp was designed by U.S. Postal Service art director Ethel Kessler based on a photo taken by National Geographic photographer Michael Melford.

The stamp will be used for international postage to Canada and Mexico and is part of an international stamp series. They will be available at post offices on Jan. 21 and cost 85 cents. The new stamp comes on the heels of a Glacier Park quarter and silver dollar that were released last year.

Artwork also has been incorporated into Glacier Park's $35 annual pass. About 700 Park staff and visitors contributed to designing a mural last year that now graces the annual pass card.

The basic background of the "Touched by Glacier" mural was created by Park volunteer Sheryl Mink. The mural was located in the 1913 Historic Ranger Station at St. Mary and is now housed in the St. Mary Visitor Center.

The annual pass for 2013 will include artwork by a local high school student. The Glacier Association hosted an art contest last fall that determined the artwork for the pass.
