Columbia Falls High School freshman Shonn Roberts shined at the Jug Beck Rocky Mountain Classic wrestling tournament in Missoula last week.

The 98-pounder took second at the Jan. 14 event, which pits wrestlers from across Montana, Idaho and Washington, regardless of school class.

Roberts lost by a 5-2 decision to Vito Degidio, of Bozeman, in the championship round.

Roberts pinned Anthony Price, of Coeur d'Alene, in the quarterfinals on Jan. 13 to make it to Saturday's competition. In the semifinals, he took down Jarren Komac, of Great Falls, 7-2 to advance to the finals.

Overall, the team took 16th place - right in the middle of the pack.
