Five more for the Idaho Hall of Fame

COEUR d'ALENE - The Idaho Athletic Hall of Fame nominating committee has announced this year's list of five inductees into the Idaho Athletic Hall of Fame.
Inductees are former Post Falls and Lewiston high school football coach Nick Menegas, former Coeur d'Alene and Lake City girls basketball coach Dave Fealko, former Post Falls and Seattle Seahawk football player Joe Tofflemire, longtime girls basketball coach David Snodgrass, and former Kellogg High athlete and North Idaho College basketball player Don Rinaldi.
The five will be inducted April 14 at the 50th annual North Idaho Sports Banquet at the Best Western Coeur d'Alene Inn. The top athletes, coaches and teams in the area will also be honored that night.

Menegas, a 1972 graduate of Shadle Park High in Spokane, coached the Post Falls football team from 1978-86, leading the Trojans to six league titles and one state runner-up finish. He was head coach at Lewiston High from 1986-99, leading the Bengals to two state titles. After a year off, he returned as Lewiston's offensive coordinator from 2000-07. His record as a head coach was 210-63-4, with 19 playoff appearances in 23 seasons, including 16 league titles, eight semifinal appearances and five state championship games.
Snodgrass, 64, who lives in Ferdinand, has been a high school girls basketball coach since 1975, with stops at Highland (Craigmont), Clearwater Valley and Prairie, and most recently, he is in his second season at Nezperce. Entering this season, he had an overall record of 500-212, with three state titles.
Fealko, 64, helped Mullan High win a state boys basketball championship in 1965, and went on to play at Idaho. Fealko coached the Coeur d’Alene High girls basketball team for 16 years, and coached two one-year stints at Lake City. He coached Coeur d’Alene to four state titles and Lake City to one. His career record is 320-125.
Tofflemire, who died last year, graduated from Post Falls High in 1983, and was an all-state center as a junior and senior. He was a four-year starter at center at Arizona, named to the all-Pac-10 team three times, and an All-American his junior and senior years. He was drafted by the Seahawks with the 44th overall pick in the 1989 draft, and played seven seasons before retiring in 1995.
Rinaldi, 81, was a three-sport athlete at Kellogg High, then played basketball at NIC. After a stint in the U.S. Army, Rinaldi refereed high school football and basketball for more than 20 years. He also officiated four years in the Big Sky Conference, and also reffed some NIC games.
